Kendaia

For those of you interested in finding out more about Kendaia and my recent work about this particular historic site, please take a look at the following pdf of a book I created that contains a compilations of text and images from a wide range of sources I researched about the site.  The book unfolds the meaning of Kendaia, seen through the lens of my personal experience.  For me, place is to be experienced, often dystopic and disorienting.  To find the meaning of "place" involves phenomenological examination, historic research, and distancing.  Photography is one way which this is done, and as such the photograph becomes integral to the process of unfoldment.  Photos become artifact in this sense as well.  Kendaia is a place of meaning, but not one easily recognized or understood.  This book is my attempt to understand this place, and my relationship to it.
